Movie Review: Basic

I love this film. Travolta has rarely been better as the devious DEA agent, burned by his agency, living in 'Cocaine Central'. Connie Nielsen is superb, as the somewhat inexperienced Provost, she goes through all the stages of anger and confusion at Travolta's behaviour, and by the end of the movie she does not know whether she wants to kiss him or shoot him in the head. They sizzle in every scene they are together, brilliantly backed up by a stellar cast, and a very fast paced script that turns itself inside out through the course of the film. High octane stuff with a mature cast who deliver on character and story. This is one of the best popcorn with friends movies that I own.
