First of all I want to say, that this is one of the best movies in 2013 until today. Now, if I have Your attention, let's start!
Stoker - Genre: Drama, Mystery, Thriller. Director: Chan-wook Park ("Sympathy for Mr Vengeance", "Oldboy", "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" etc.).
Everything starts with the dead of the father of India. They were very close. While she is in shock, her uncle Charlie, who she never knew existed, comes to live with her, and her unstable mother. He is really charming, mysterious, but the girl suspects that he has some hidden motives.
Stoker's scenario twists are really intense to watch, even schocking, and that forces You to get into it. The model of the family, presented in the movie, is clearly not familiar to any audience (I hope). Chan-wook Park also did a great job putting the scenes together in a different order, making everything totally unpredictable. The main characters were showed very professionally by great actors - N. Kidman, M. Goode and M. Wasikowska.
To sum up - a great choice, for the 'hard movie' lovers, and certainly not evening kind of movie, because You can't relax anywhere along the film. C.W. Park's first english motion picture goes really high, and therefore I hope he will continue his work.
P.S. I leave You with an interview with the cast, which may help You to decide whether to watch it or not.
