I read the Hunger Games series before I saw the movie, so yes, I was a part of the ginormous cloud of hype that surrounded this movie and in the end I was satisfied with the result. I wasn't the GREATEST MOVIE EVER like so many people hyped it up to be but it followed the origanal story well. There are people out there that freak out over the slightest change from book to movie, for example the fact that Katniss got the Mockingjay pin from the Hob instead of her friend. These types of small differences make no difference to me whatsoever. It wasnt that important so it doesnt really matter...thats the way I see it. Overall this was a great film that was entertaining and it had you on the edge of your seat at times and it pulled on your heart strings at other times. In my opinion the casting was FANTASTIC. Jennifer Lawrence did a sensational job at filling the shoes of a character that people love so much so they tend to judge WHOEVER it is that ends up playing said character in the end. I'm a total Katniss/Peeta shipper so Josh Hutcherson totally did it for me as Peeta. I can't decide who my favorite character is though, its a tie between Stanley Tucci as Ceasar Flickerman OR Lenny Kravitz as Cinna. I completely fell in love with both of them in this movie for two different reasons, Stanley CRACKED ME UP everytime he was on screen and Lenny was just.......amazing. Also hats of to Woody Harrelson because he's just awesome in every movie.
