"Moonrise Kingdom" is the best film so far this year.  Directed by Wes Anderson.  Seems without my realizing it, I've seen, I think, all of his films.  It is a whimsical, charming, yet bizarre film featuring a stellar cast consisting of Bruce Willis, Bill Murray (an Anderson staple), Frances McDormand.  Can you see Edward Norton and Harvey Keitel as Boy Scout leaders?  It's set way up Northeast in suburban Rhode Island.  An orphaned, nerdy, intelligent, bullied boy scout disappears in cahoots with his misunderstood (by her parents Murray and McDormand) girlfiend.  They run away into the wilderness and his BS skills get them through.  Willis, the cop, is on the case. The kids are intelligent, philosophical, and have it together more than the grown-ups.  Tilda Swinton shows up as a social worker.  The only cliche character of the lot.
